Disney's the BFG releases to DVD/blu-ray and digital on November 29th! We were lucky enough to get a preview so we threw a party to celebrate! We gathered some friends and watched the movie while doing some great crafts and activities!

We love the movie! It is really fun to watch - and if you grew up with it, you'll really enjoy watching it with your kids now!

To enhance our viewing we did a few crafts during the movie!

We made giant ears, dream jars and dream catchers! We also drank some frobscottle and ate mini foods!

The activities are so much fun and add to the viewing of the movie!!

First they made giant ears - Take pink paper plates and cut a little bit off the edge to make a vague ear shape. Then we taped them onto headbands so we could wear giant ears while we watched!

They also made dream jars! You can use any jar - but I found some soup take out containers (plastic yay!) in bulk so I got those! If you're comfortable with your kids using glass - a mason jar works perfectly!

We added glitter, tissue paper and glow sticks to our jars! We then took labels and painted them with glow in the dark paint (I did this before the party so they would be dry) and at the party - the kids wrote their dreams (or names) on the jars!

Another craft we really enjoyed was the dream catchers - remove the middle of a paper plate, punch a few holes around the edges and weave yarn through to make a star in the middle. We then added feathers hanging from yarn, sequins and coloring.

I printed out some BFG activity pages which were fun to do!

For food and drink - we enjoyed mini foods since we were giants!

Plus we made frobscottle - I dyed ginger ale with green food coloring and then right before serving - I added some pop rocks to make it really sizzle!

The kids had so much fun and the crafts are easy for you to replicate at home!
